Ma. Regina M. Hechanova

Ma. Regina M. Hechanova

Gina is the Executive Director of the Ateneo CORD. She has over 20 years of practice as a human resource management practitioner. She worked as internal HR consultant at the HR Strategic Group at Dow Chemical in Michigan, USA. In the Philippines, she was HR Adviser at San Miguel Foods and the Head of Human Resources at Meralco Foundation, Inc. She has served as external trainer and organization development (OD) consultant for a variety of organizations both in the Philippines and the US including Globe Telecom, Citibank etc. Gina has a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the Central Michigan University. She obtained her M.A. and B.S. degrees from the University of the Philippines. Her career as an academic started at the University of the Philippines, where she received the Chancellor’s Award for Most Outstanding Faculty. Today, she is a faculty of the Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology at the Ateneo de Manila University. A prolific researcher, she was named one of the Ten Outstanding Young Scientists by the National Academy for Science and Technology in 2005. She has also been named as one of The Outstanding Women in the Nation’s Service in 2010.

Maria Victoria T. Cortez

Mavic is the Deputy Executive Director of Ateneo CORD and concurrent Training Director for Customized Programs. Prior to joining Ateneo CORD, she was HR Manager for Store Operations at Goldilocks Bake Shop Inc. where she started her HR career as HR Officer for Manpower Planning and Development in 1997. After two years in the company, she was tasked to manage the Store Operations Training Department that’s responsible for the technical training of crew and management personnel for the entire chain. She continued to be an HR and OD consultant to Goldilocks and other clients after she had left the company in 2003. She taught Management and Psychology courses for four years at the College of the Holy Spirit where she graduated with a BS degree in Commerce major in Business Management. She holds a master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the Ateneo de Manila University.

Vanessa C. Villaluz

Vanessa C. Villaluz

Baban is the Director for Consulting Services of Ateneo CORD. She also specializes in organization development and installation of human resource management systems. She conducts organization diagnosis and has helped various organizations in their change management efforts. She obtained a Master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the Ateneo de Manila University.

Patricia Katrina V. Fernandez

Patricia Katrina V. Fernandez

Tricia is the Associate Director for Customized Training handling HR programs and is the internal Human Resources Administrator of the Ateneo CORD. She previously worked with IBM Business Services Inc., and as part of the ACORD staff, has been involved in several projects in the area of research and training. She is a graduate of Ateneo de Zamboanga University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. She is currently completing her MA in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at the Ateneo de Manila University.

Helen is currently the program officer for Public Trainings at the Ateneo CORD. She is a graduate of Ateneo de Manila University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. She is currently taking her Master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at the Ateneo de Manila University.

Mendiola T. Calleja

Mendiola T. Calleja

Joy is the Director for Research of the Ateneo CORD and a faculty member of the Psychology Department. She has over 10 years of practice in different areas of human resources management. She worked as an internal HR consultant for The Coca-Cola Export Corporation and as Assistant to the Principal for Human Resources of the Ateneo de Manila High School. She has done projects and consulting work with SGV-DDI, Oracle Systems Corp., Bristol-Myers Squibb Philippines (Mead Johnson) among others.
Joy is now pursuing her Ph,D. in Social-Organizational Psychology at the Ateneo de Manila University where she also earned her M.A. degree. She completed her B.S. Psychology and B.S.C. in Human Resources Management at St. Scholastica’s College Manila (Honor’s Program). Her current research interests include strategic human resources management, leadership and labor relations. She has published in the Philippine Journal of Psychology and was a finalist in the 2004 Asia Mercer Research Awards.

Emerald D. Ilac

Emerald D. Ilac

Erald is the Program Officer for Customized Training – Leadership Programs of the Ateneo CORD, involving him in several projects on leadership development across different organizations. His professional career included working as a manager over the past ten years in various food institutions such as KFC Philippines, Gloria Jeans Coffees and Seattle’s Best Coffee. He also worked as marketing officer for Kenny Rogers Roasters, and most recently, as a cluster manager for Netopia under the ePLDT Group. He is a graduate of Ateneo de Manila University with a degree in AB Psychology, and is currently taking his Ph.D. in Leadership with a Major in Organizational Development in the same university.

Milagros Lydia B. Magsaysay-Balangue

Milagros Lydia B. Magsaysay-Balangue

Myly Magsaysay-Balangue has extensive experience in Learning and Development with a training career spanning 15 years. She has worked in organizations such as Smart Communications Inc. and Chevron Philippines, Inc. (Caltex) to develop, train, implement and evaluate programs in sales and marketing (customer service, product knowledge, negotiation, selling skills, business planning) as well as human resources and organization development (recruitment, employee on-boarding employee coaching, management trainee program). At present, she is the Associate Director for Public Training and Partnership in Ateneo CORD. As a consultant with CORD, she has worked with various corporations and schools in training, research and organization development interventions such as strategic planning and teambuilding.

Myly graduated in Ateneo de Manila University with a degree in B.S. Psychology. She has completed her coursework for her M.A. in Industrial Organizational Psychology.

John Glenn C. Advincula

John is currently the Program Officer for Research of the Ateneo CORD. He has experiences in assisting training programs for both the public course offerings as well as the customized training programs for Ateneo CORD. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Development Studies minor in Economics and is currently completing his Master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at the Ateneo de Manila University.

DD is a Training Assistant in the Ateneo CORD. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Santo Tomas and is currently taking her Master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at the Ateneo de Manila University.

Dianna is a Training Assistant at the Ateneo Cord. She is an Economics graduate from the Ateneo de Manila University.

Nessalyn F. Mendiola

Nessalyn F. Mendiola

Ness Mendiola has been a practicing HR & OD professional for about 12 years. Her exposure is a unique combination of business experiences during her stints in sales & service, media, advertising, banking & finance, and pharmaceutical industries. She was Head for Training and Organization Development in Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company and led a team of HR and Operations professionals to design and deliver training and development programs nationwide for around 8,000 Bank employees. Alongside her training function, she also handled the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives of the Bank in partnership with Metrobank Foundation, Inc. Then, she pursued her HR & OD practice in United Laboratories, Inc. where she took the lead in the development and implementation of the company’s leadership development initiatives and acted as an HR Business Partner to major technical and support groups in Unilab. She also handled employee care and wellness programs and events, which she branded LifeMatters@Unilab, in collaboration with Unilab’s top brand groups. In March 2010, she was part of the core organizing team who staged the 2010 Run UNITED event for Unilab – one of the most recognized running events in the country.
At present, she is the Associate Director for OD and HR Solutions in Ateneo CORD. As a consultant with CORD, she is engaged in business development efforts of the Center, working with clients in identifying their needs and relevant OD and HR solutions.

Ness graduated from the University of the Philippines Diliman with a degree in B.A. Psychology. She also finished her Certificate in Organization Development with Ateneo CORD.
